The one and only World Games Competitor

Tom Jones

See why Tom Jones paddled the the entire coast of California.

Tom Jones is called an "extreme" athlete. But when people hear what he has accomplished, more often than not, they ask if "extreme" is an "extreme" enough adjective to describe him.

He has run the length of California several times--at a pace of a marathon (26.2 miles) per day. He has also run from California to New York at the same marathon per day pace. That's right... 120 consecutive days... 26.2 miles per day. Make that 121 consecutive days, because when he arrived in NY, he competed in the New York City marathon, and finished in under four hours. In 2003, Tom ran a marathon, and followed it up by competing in a sanctioned Muay Thai kickboxing match, which he won by KO in the third round. To make a long story short, if it can't be done, Tom will do it.

Charles Earl

Adventure Motorcyclist

Charles Earl has always explored his outer limits. Whether solo trekking the alpine trail across the island of Corsica, surfing in Santa Cruz, riding his mountain bike up the Pike's Peak single-track or riding a motorcycle across the Arctic Circle, Charles places an emphasis on self-sufficiency and endurance.
An avid outdoorsman, Charles places challenging surf, backpacking trips and snow-sports high on his list. He attributes his outdoor interests to growing up in the mountains of Utah and having a father who took him to places like Alaska in the 60's and 70's.
Recent years have seen an increase in solo motorcycle adventures. Astride a 650cc dualsport motorcycle, Charles has been logging miles in North America both on and off the road. Often documenting his journeys with video, recent motorcycle trips have reached the most northerly roads in North America, the Dalton Highway to Deadhorse, Alaska and the Dempster highway to Inuvik, Northwest Territories.
Asked what his motto is, Charles responds "I'm always planning my next adventure."
