WE ARE THE FORGOTTEN BEASTS
Days before opening the indie bookstore of his dreams, Archie Townsend is asked to drop everything when his half brother Nick calls from the Mojave Desert after a drug fueled spiral across California. On the drive back to Sacramento, a stop at a fading roadside motel brings them together with a housekeeper grieving her father and a buzz-drunk bull rider who recently discovered he has a daughter. As old wounds resurface, the make believe adventures the brothers acted out as children begin to take shape once again, bringing with them old myths, monsters, and forgotten beasts. We Are the Forgotten Beasts is a funny and tender desert fable about brotherhood, fatherhood, and the stories that shape us long after childhood ends.
